چکیده

There are two ways to introduce the notion of frequency response for sampled-data systems. One is based on the so-called lifting, and the other based on an interpretation of steady-state response in terms of impulse modulation. This paper proves the equivalence of these two notions; in particular, it establishes a more direct link of the second approach to the H” norm, and also provides the first approach with a natural interpretation of steady-state response as an infinite sum of sinusoidal signals. This study also leads to a comprehensive account of impulse modulation from the lifting viewpoint. *This author is supported in part by the Tat&hi Science and Technology Foundation. Structural Properties of Multirate Sampled-Data Systems

The application of Networked Control Systems (NCS) in which sensory and control signals are transmitted via shared data communication networks, is growing significantly and these systems have been the subject of research during the last decade. On the other hand, multirate sampled data systems have been investigated since a long time. In this paper, conditions under which a networked control sy...

Influences of temporal evolution of ground motion frequency content on developed dynamic ratcheting in SDOF systems

Dynamic Ratcheting (DR) is a nonlinear dynamic phenomenon occurring in hysteretic damping systems. It means the structural plastic deformation increases asymmetrically in successive cycles under an earthquake excitation. Although it is generally recognized that DR is closely related to the frequency contents of an earthquake excitation applied to thestructure, no targeted analysis has bee...

Empirical Study of Nova Scotia Nurses’ Adoption of Healthcare Information Systems: Implications for Management and Policy-Making

Background This paper used the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which was extended, to investigate nurses’ adoption of healthcare information systems (HIS) in Nova Scotia, Canada.   Methods Data was collected from 197 nurses in a survey and data analysis was carried out using the partial least squares (PLS) technique.   Results In contrast to findings in prior studies that used TPB to investig...

Convolutional Codes and Frequency Responses

Frequency responses are introduced as objects that are much finer than transfer functions, and their investigation is carried out via convolutional codes. In particular, a canonical one-to-one correspondence is established between frequency responses and equivalence classes of AR-models. These new objects are important because the study of linear dynamical systems can to a great extent be reduc...

Investigating the interaction between rivers and sand dunes in arid and semi-arid regions of Iran

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Fluvial and aeolian processes are important factors in changing the surface of morphology in the Earth. When rivers and sand dunes meet, the transportation of sediment  between them can lead to one of the systems or both  of them change. With their connection between river sediment and wind systems there would be lots of reactions, but very little has been st...
